The 15^th Annual Center for Acoustics and Vibration (CAV) Workshop was held May 10-11, 2006 at the Penn Stater Conference Center. This year’s workshop focused on many of the new research initiative within the Center. The Workshop was opened with and introductory presentation by Dr. Gary Koopmann, Director of CAV. There were two special presentations were given this year. One by Dr. Christopher Rahn, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Penn State and Dr. Jeremy Frank, President of KCF Technologies, Inc. Presentations were made by all eight Affinity Group Leaders, representatives from corporate sponsors, UTRC and York/Johnson Controls, and liaisons from our international links. The attendees were also able to tour two laboratories in the Materials Research area. Professor Douglas Wolfe conducted a tour of the Advanced Costing Lab and Joseph Kulik led the attendees through the Transmission Electron Microscope Facility.
